What SEO Blitz Scores

SEO Blitz scores draft content using visible text signals that can be measured in the browser: word count, sentence count, paragraph count, average sentence length, average word length, estimated reading time, title presence, title length, long sentences, dense paragraphs, and repeated meaningful terms.

What SEO Blitz Does Not Score

The tool does not crawl a live page, inspect backlinks, measure Core Web Vitals, validate schema, evaluate images, check internal links, compare competitors, predict rankings, or verify factual accuracy. It is a writing-quality calculator, not a full SEO audit platform.

Readability Method

The readability review looks for practical editing signals. SEO Blitz counts sentences, estimates average words per sentence, and flags long sentences that may be hard to scan. It also notes drafts with too many very short sentences when the rhythm may feel choppy.

Content Depth Method

Content depth is based on word count and paragraph structure. Very short drafts are treated as thin because they often cannot answer a searcher's question completely. Longer drafts can earn positive weight, but length alone is not treated as quality.

Keyword Extraction Method

The keyword cloud normalizes text, removes common stopwords, strips markup when pasted HTML is detected, counts repeated terms, and displays the most frequent meaningful tokens. It is a topic-focus signal, not a keyword-density target.

Title Scoring Method

The optional title field checks whether a draft has a title and whether the length is close to a practical search-display range. Short titles may lack context. Very long titles may be truncated. A good title still needs human judgment and search-intent alignment.

Score Ranges

RangeMeaningRecommended Review
85-100Strong structureReview accuracy, examples, intent, and internal links.
70-84Good foundationFix listed insights and improve completeness.
50-69Needs editingCheck depth, title clarity, long sentences, and dense paragraphs.
0-49High rewrite riskRework the draft before treating it as publish-ready.

Known Limitations

A score can be high even when a draft is factually weak, off-intent, outdated, or unsupported by examples. A score can be low for a deliberately short page that still serves its purpose. SEO Blitz should be used as one review layer, not the final publishing decision.

Privacy Model

The current calculator runs in the browser without an account requirement. Users should not paste confidential or regulated content unless they are comfortable using this type of local browser tool on their device.

Correction Process

Methodology issues can be reported through Contact. Include the page, issue, expected behavior, actual behavior, and a short non-confidential sample when the issue involves scoring.
