50 Controlled Title Rewrites
A controlled study of how SEO Blitz v2.0 responds to 50 title variants against one frozen body.
01 / Research question
How does v2.0 respond to controlled title changes?
How does SEO Blitz Scoring Model v2.0 respond when the title changes while the body, content mode, brief, analyzer version, and execution environment remain fixed?
Hypothesis: title length, body-term alignment, and implemented title conditions can change title findings and the overall score.
02 / Method
Change only the title.
The body, brief, content mode, model version, build artifact, and execution method stayed fixed. Only the title changed across 50 primary cases.
- Shared fixture:
home-office-desk-guide-v1 - Mode: Blog article or guide
- Shared body: 300 words
- Cases: 50 unique title treatments
- Runs: two isolated Chromium executions
- Model: SEO Blitz Scoring Model v2.0
The initial run also exposed the production title input's 70-character limit. Two over-limit treatments were retained as failed fixture evidence, then superseded by corrected treatments within the shipped input boundary.
03 / Evidence
Retained title treatments.
The shared body checksum is c3dd1c7fb6c27ed6c763a19621d5c6d4881c81bff9a66b0a22d03580c3793f88. The dataset checksum is 59befca88ead2ad1fdcdd0c8e8bfa3399e1c9f4231c7ada316098a0537c4d021. Two corrected executions were retained after the production input limit was accounted for. The normalized result checksum is 4dcead8696edaaf2e3c9ac40e939bd974efaef969eab549cac650bf37373c348.
04 / Results
Measured title behavior.
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Highest score in this experiment | 94 |
| Lowest score in this experiment | 91 |
| Score range | 3 |
| Mean | 93.54 |
| Median | 94.0 |
| Highest title alignment | 100 |
| Lowest title alignment | 85 |
These are descriptive results for one frozen body. They are not statistical estimates of title quality or search performance.
04 / Title length
The scoring boundary is above 65 characters.
The 60-character case and the 65-character case produced the same title findings in this controlled body. The 66-character case added TTL-03 and reduced Title alignment by four points. This is the shipped v2.0 scoring behavior, not a universal title recommendation.
The analyzer input accepts up to 70 characters in the production interface. Longer planned treatments were retained as a fixture correction record rather than silently truncated.
05 / Body-term and question alignment
Lexical overlap changes title findings.
Titles whose eligible terms were represented in the body generally avoided TTL-04. Titles without overlap triggered that rule. Question alignment depends on the implemented eligible-term comparison, not semantic understanding. The retained pairwise evidence shows the exact deltas for selected treatments.
| Pair | Changed property | Score delta | Title alignment delta | Title rules, left / right |
|---|---|---|---|---|
TITLE-009 vs TITLE-010 | 60 versus 65 character boundary | 0 | 0 | TTL-04, TTL-06 / TTL-04, TTL-06 |
TITLE-010 vs TITLE-011 | 65 versus above-65 character boundary | -1 | -4 | TTL-04, TTL-06 / TTL-03, TTL-04, TTL-06 |
TITLE-006 vs TITLE-018 | body-term alignment | -1 | -11 | None / TTL-04, TTL-06 |
TITLE-017 vs TITLE-029 | declared-question alignment | 0 | 0 | None / None |
TITLE-021 vs TITLE-024 | repetition | -1 | -9 | None / TTL-02, TTL-05 |
06 / Rule frequency
Six title rules were tracked.
| Rule | Cases triggered |
|---|---|
TTL-01 | 0 |
TTL-02 | 8 |
TTL-03 | 3 |
TTL-04 | 5 |
TTL-05 | 3 |
TTL-06 | 7 |
TTL-01 remained at zero in the retained title-rule mapping because the exported empty-title finding is mapped to readiness evidence by the current research adapter. No rule was forced to appear.

Each row comes from retained normalized analyzer output. The full body and brief remain fixed across the table.
08 / Interpretation
This is a scoring-behavior study.
This study measures how SEO Blitz v2.0 responds to controlled title changes. It does not measure how search engines or users respond to those titles.
A higher score in this experiment is not a winning title, a ranking prediction, or evidence of better click-through rate. The results describe this frozen body and brief only.
09 / Limitations
What this study does not establish.
- One synthetic body and one fixed Blog article or guide mode were used.
- Only 50 v2.0 title treatments were tested.
- No SERP, CTR, Search Console, ranking, semantic truth, or factual verification was performed.
- The highest-scoring title is not established as best for users or search performance.
- Results may differ for another body, brief, or analyzer version.
10 / Reproduction
Repeat the controlled run.
Use the retained shared fixture, calculate the 50 merged input checksums, run the production-artifact workflow twice in isolated Chromium contexts, normalize the outputs, and compare the result checksum. The dataset checksum is 59befca88ead2ad1fdcdd0c8e8bfa3399e1c9f4231c7ada316098a0537c4d021. The normalized result checksum is 4dcead8696edaaf2e3c9ac40e939bd974efaef969eab549cac650bf37373c348.
